First Dried Abalone Auction

Hong Kong's first dried abalone auction

For the first time in Hong Kong and perhaps the world there was a dried abalone auction on June 21st 2023.

Auctioneer Brian Hodgson conducted the auction consisting of 24 lots of fine abalone. The auction which was open to the public consisted of restaurant owners and end users.

The lots of abalones were presented in unique ways. Some in fine wooden cases, some in large jars., all beautifully displayed.

The first lot attracted many bids and the night continued with bids and fine food and wine.
