The HKBU Art Auction

The HKBU Art Auction, an initiative spearheaded by the Career Centre and the Academy of Visual Arts (AVA), was successfully held on 24 January. This is the first-ever art auction which turned the spotlight on 18 art pieces by 12 gifted young artists from HKBU. It drew the interest of an enthusiastic crowd of over 40 art collectors, representatives of leading galleries, and distinguished guests.

The auction’s primary aim was to empower the AVA students and recent graduates by providing a dynamic platform to showcase their work and engage directly with the art market. This experience offers them a taste of real-world commerce and critique, which is vital for their professional growth in the art industry.
