About 3,000 personal belongings of late Canto-pop diva Anita Mui Yim-fong, including her clothes and a trophy she won in a singing contest that shot her to fame, have been put up for sale on an online auction.

The timed auction “Last But Not Least” featured 3,127 items, including her wardrobe, handbags, custom jewellery, stage costumes, CDs, posters, press clippings and soft toys.

The auction was organised by HSBC Trustee of Hong Kong, the administrator of Mui’s estate, and conducted by online auction house Hong Kong Auctions. It began on December 10 and was to run until December 22. Starting bids for the items ranged between HK$100 and HK$10,000.

Highlights included a trophy the late artist won the First New Talent Singing Awards organised by Television Broadcast and Capital Artists Hong Kong in 1982. Mui emerged as champion in the contest by singing Paula Tsui’s The Windy Season. The contest marked the beginning of Mui’s 20-year career in entertainment.
