Discovery College Arts Fest  Starts Saturday 2nd Feburary

The Arts Fest officially starts on Monday, however the shows start this Weekend!  Make sure you visit the school and join your children for this exciting week of events. Check out the program your child has brought home to find out information about the exciting performers, workshops, exhibits and presenters who make up this years Arts Fest.

Silent Auction Ask your child to show you their class Art Work for the Silent Auction. From Saturday morning you will be able to place your bids at here.  Please follow the instructions on the website which will clearly explain the bidding process. Bids for the Students Art work start at HK$500, bids can be made in increments of HK$100. Bids for the Discovery College Photography Competition winners work start at HK$200, bids can be made in increments of HK$50. All payments for the winning bids must be made directly to the PTA shop.
The Auction will close on Friday 8th February at 4pm.You will be notified if your bid has won and you will be able to pick up your painting  from the PTA Shop after the Chinese New Year holiday.

Carnival Parade Come along on Monday 4 March at 8.45am to watch the Carnival Parade. Work with your child and get their creative ideas flowing around dressing with an arts theme.  Students can come as their favourite musician, actor, artist or simply dress artily!  

Arts Fest T-shirt – Students may wear the official Arts Fest T-shirt to school during the Arts Fest week.
The black t-shirt with the DC Arts Fest logo on the back is on sale in the PTA shop priced at $100. The 2011 t-shirts are also available for $50.

Get together with friends and family to enjoy the following events

Saturday 2 February - Limited tickets still available at Uncle Russ in the Plaza and at the door
Children's Comedy show 4.30-5.30pm:  Tickets $150
Comedy Night Young adults – 6.30-7.30pm: Tickets $150  ( primary students not admitted)
Comedy Night Adults-only show: – 8pm :Tickets $200   
 
Sunday 3rd February
Low Strung - Cello group - at 4pm who will be playing music by Lady Gaga and Lennon-McCartney. Tickets: adults $100, children $50.

Monday 4 February
'Get Real' Theatre Company presents Alice in Wonderland - 4.30-5.30pm : Tickets $150

Wednesday 6th February
Discovery College Arts Fair:-5 to 8pm:  free admission.

Tickets can be purchased from the PTA shop and Uncle Russ in the Main Plaza. Tickets for the Comedy Shows will be available at the door.

All money raised through the sale of tickets for the above events and through the Silent Arts Auction is used to support the Arts Festival.
